Kitchen Splashback Standard

Bespoke Splashbacks

iGlass kitchen splashbacks add a stunning infusion of colour and style to any kitchen design whilst providing an inherently hygienic, non-staining and easily cleanable surface.

iGlass products are produced by one of the oldest and most respected glass manufactures within the UK. All products conform to British Standards and come with a 5 year warrantee when supplied by one of our exclusive authorised partners.

Due to the bespoke nature of the product and with our authorized partners already measuring and installing solid surface worktops, we can deliver within a far quicker timescale than can be achieved by a glass manufacturer operating independently.

Glass is a contemporary and practical material choice for splashbacks, being inherently hygienic, easy to clean and non-staining. Our splashbacks are manufactured to suit your kitchen design.

iGlass have taken glass splashbacks for kitchens to a new dimension adding style and sophistication through the use of colour and surface finishes. iGlass has one of the largest ranges of colours and with new products coming in the near future, iGlass offer a complete glass solution for any kitchen.

iGlass have been working with local kitchen, bathroom and interior designers for many years, supplying highly technical and exclusive glass products for bespoke designs for all types of applications.

Through investment in research and development along with an increased capacity to measure and install, iGlass products are being repackaged and launched through an exclusive network of kitchen and bathroom studios. Refer to our website for the launch dates of other products.

iGlass Splashbacks Q & A’s

Q.
Are they safe?
A.
Yes, the iGlass splashbacks conform to all British safety standards for the use of glass within private residential buildings. They conform to BS6206, EN1036 and EN12600 2B2. iGlass splashbacks have been rigorously tested and perform well under heat when fitted by an approved installer.
Q.
Are they strong?
A.
Glass is structurally a very strong product and when installed it will take a huge impact to break (in the region of 35 Newtons of force).
Q.
Does it scratch?
A.
Yes, glass can scratch but it is resistant to most abrasive cleaners and in this particular application it is highly unlikely to scratch.
Q.
What if moisture gets behind the glass?
A.
When correctly fitted the splashback will be sealed all the way around using a small bead of silicone which will prevent moisture getting behind the glass. Due to the nature of the product, if any moisture was to get behind the glass it would not cause any problems and will not be visible from the front face.
Q.
What surfaces can they be adhered to?
A.
They can be fixed to all non-porous, dry, dust and grease free surfaces, i.e. plastered walls, gyp board, tiles, MDF and chipboard. The surface should be relatively flat, with no undulations greater than 5mm.

COLOURCONSISTENT
The colour is infused at high temperature into the back of the glass surface to a depth of two microns and is four microns thick. This means that the colour is permanent and will not degrade with heat or light. Colour is applied using computer controlled batching technology ensuring consistency of colour.
hygienic_icon
HYGIENIC
The glass surface is non-porous and therefore does not support the growth of harmful bacteria. This ensures our splashbacks provide an extremely hygienic solution within such a demanding environment.

STAINRESISTANT
The surface is non-porous preventing any liquids or foodstuffs permanently marking it. It also provides a low maintenance surface which is easy to wipe clean.
HEATRESISTANT
Our glass has been rigorously tested and performs well behind hobs. Glass expands when heated and therefore is fitted with minimal expansion joints to allow for expansion.
